EVENT: 2013 Continental Cup

The 2013 IIHF Continental Cup will again use its group format to find the best club side in Europe. There are 4 stages with teams added at each stage and only the winners progressing to the 4 team Super Final in January.


1st Round Group A

Vákár Lajos Ice Hall –  Miercurea Ciuc, Romania

2nd Round Group B

Eisstadion Am Guntenbergweg – Landshut, Germany

2nd Round Group C

Vaasa Arena – Vassa, Finland

3rd Round Group D

Palaonda/Eiswelle – Bolzano, Italy

3rd Round Group E

Siddishallen – Stavanger, Norway

Super Final Group F

Druzhba Ice Palace – Donetsk, Ukraine



1st Round – 28th – 30th September

2nd Round – 19th – 21st October

3rd Round – 23rd – 25th November

Super Final – 11th – 13th January

Each team in the group will play the other sides once with the winner of the group progressing to next round.

1st Round

Group A- CH Jaca (Spain), HSC Csikszereda (Romania), Vitez Belgrade (Serbia), Baskent Yildizlari Ankara (Turkey)

2nd Round

Group B – Landshut Cannibals (Germany) Belfast Giants (UK) Eaters Geleen (Netherlands) and the winner of the 1st round group.

Group C – Vassa Sport (Finland) Miskolc Polar Bears (Hungary) Liepajas Metalurgs (Latvia) Beibarys Atyrau (Kazakhstan)

3rd Round

Group D – Bolzano Foxes (Italy), Herning Blue Fox (Denmark), Toros Neftekamsk (Russia), Winner Group B.

Group E – Metallurg Zhlobin (Belarus), Stavanger Oilers (Norway), KH Sanok (Poland), Winner Group C

Super Final

Group F – Rouen Dragons (France), Donbass Donetsk (Ukraine), Winner Group D, Winner Group E
